The Reason You Don’t Play The Numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 On The Lottery*

That would be your finely-tuned, highly-sensitized, well-experienced logical mind. Making a mistake as it often does. Of course, logic and mathematics will tell you that you have exactly the same chance winning with those six numbers on the lottery as you have playing any other combination of six numbers, yet for some reason it just doesn’t feel right.

And that’s how wonderfully attuned to reality our brains aren’t. This, rather worryingly, is only one of many ways in which we fall into the trap of letting our emotions dictate what we perceive as logic. I make it my mission to expose the little nasties so that they are at the forefront of your mind, allowing you in that fleeting moment to perhaps question your thinking and make better decisions.

Most of the time though, you won’t. Don’t beat yourself up about it. It’s just the way us humans are.

The human mind is a fascinating thing at times. We love to try and understand it, but the more we learn about it, the more we understand how little we know. Nevertheless, the mistakes of logic, the tunnel vision and the cognitive errors we make on a fairly regular basis never fail to amaze me.

Allow me to do all the hard work of discovering and documenting these hindering mind patterns, while you can simply absorb my regular updates and have something far more interesting than the weather to talk about at your next dinner party or family gathering. After all, nobody likes a bore. Right?
